THE STORM

For the past two years, I locked myself away to create something for myself. I had things I needed to say, spells to cast, screams to release...and above all, stories to tell. In opera, I spent my whole life telling other people's stories. Now, it’s time to tell mine. Welcome to my debut album: The Storm.

I named this autobiographical rock opera after what my life had always felt like: a storm. One tragedy and betrayal after another made me believe there was some unstoppable force trying to destroy me. I had to separate myself from the pain, learn its lessons, and understand how it had changed me. From that shadow work, a record about resilience, self-discovery and personal transformation was born.

I’m proud to say it was entirely written, composed, produced, and recorded by me (with some amazing guest appearances on guitar and sax).

The lead single, Dancing in the Woods, is the first step into the sonic universe I've created for the outcasts like me to find their power. With an incredible solo by Michael Carlson of Tegmentum, this song is the heart of the album. Think of it as the dark sister of Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac. It’s my mission statement: the parts of myself I thought nobody would want ended up becoming my magic.
